Kaelin Hooper

2019 Notley Fellow

Kaelin likes tinkering with new ideas and figuring out how to build them.

An avid learner of all things technology, you may find him geeking out over better ways to develop products, designing, or learning new math & science topics. Obsessed with space since childhood, he learned how to code to build rocket video games. In an attempt to expand this interest into real life, he started a lawn business and hired his high school friends as employees to fund purchasing model rockets and remote controlled helicopters to learn how they worked. He continued this pursuit in college by working on a research team with SpaceX and The University of Texas to develop the hyperloop concept.

Today, he’s tackling new ways to buy and sell homes online as a Product Manager on the consumer technology team at Keller Williams Realty International. He’s also exploring other problems to solve by using his experience in consumer tech.

In his free time, Kaelin enjoys gymnastics, reading, playing piano, and meeting other people. He’s easily wooed by chocolate milk and will never say no to a Master Pancake at the local Alamo Drafthouse theater.
